I was on Napoleon Total War homepage and I watched that demo thing over there, screen and such
things.
I noticed this screenshot:

Is there some control to do this in middle of battle to look enemy positions?

hmmm...if you debug the camera (in the preference.script file), leave the unit flags on, then fly really really high, you might get this shot...I've done this shot before, but I usually don't have those flags on.

They should totally add that as a view in-battle.

Well not really - because unless you actually got into that balloon you occasionally see floating above the battlefield you'd see a lot less of it than we already do.

And if you look at the little radar map you get that bird's eye view anyway.

Not as good as this view on this picture.

I am actually more annoyed at how that is a far more interesting battle map than any I've seen in the game.

Looks a lot like Leipzig but the units are in the wrong places.....
