Default Regarding the admission of omens

I almost always let my preluding speech before a battle play out. I like to see if my troops are sufficiently energized and confident. I have seen that their reaction can have an effect on whether or not a respective leader is considered a warrior aristotle, or a dubya. From what I can ascertain, this combined with a battle's outcome can alter the possible traits that are either associated with or titled to a family member/general/character.

I suppose my question is: has anyone here seen an even basic correlation with the annoucments of the portents (spelling?) combined with the traits a general will receive when he achieves victory?
"So parents...hold on to your hats...the federal government is gonna give you 400 dollars for every child you have...so if you've got 1,000 kids...you're on freaking easy street. That's where you go, what is the government thinking? I mean wha, what do Congressmans' children eat -- MITES?!? All 400 dollars does is remind me how screwed I am; You'd be better off if you're Congressman just came to your door, and pissed on your foot."

I"m pretty sure, "Bloody" trait changes teh speech a bit, but others, I don't know.

    edit: Sorry misunderstood the OP.

    Uh, I don't know! I bet they do. I mean, a general doesn't get a command star EVERY battle, I don't think.

That's an interesting point. I would think not, but I've never tested it. I listen to the speech every battle too, but only if it's a FM.

Parts of the speech are specified by the traits that a general/captain has, see the export_descr_prebattle_speeches file and look in the VnV sections for all factions.

I like the part when unexperienced generals learn to hold speeches... first they are shy or bored but then comes the part when they say "and I even feel an inspiring speech coming!" and start talking like Alexander!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I love the speeches from RTW vanilla!
