Resources
We don't have an official dumping ground for resources, so I created one.
To kick things off, I have acquired an pdf of The Cambridge History of China, Volume 6 – Alien Regimes and Border States, 910–1368. It covers the northern states of the Khitan, the Jurchen, Xi Xia and the Mongols. Its provides invaluable maps, information on military systems, economy, society and culture of many of our nothern factions.
I have dipped into it numerous times, but never really absorbed it properly with AUH in mind. Hopefully some of our researchers can take a closer analysis as and when specific faction-related info is needed:
Download it http://www.sendspace.com/file/us172q

Re: Resources
I would love to dig into it, but the link appears to be broken.

Re: Resources
hmm, I will do it again tomorrow. Would you be happy to start with the stuff on Xi Xia, as thats what our current focus is (not for unit design obviously, but for gameplay etc) ?

Re: Resources
Downloaded for posterity. May have to print it out for some bathroom reading after I work my way through the Cambirdge History of Southeast Asia.
EDIT: Actually I already had this one, got it off Scribd.
EDIT #2: I've attached a PDF of History of Civilizations of Central Asia - Age of Achievement, 750 AD to the end of the 15th Century. Not sure what all it contains but it should contain tidbits about Khitans, Tibet, Tanguts, etc.
I have another called "Culture and Conquest in Mongol Eurasia" but it appears to be largely based in the Middle East and the Ilkhanate. The section on transmission of culture may contain valuable information though, so I can upload it if anyone wants.
