    Default Tips on choosing dificulty

I don't know how hard this mod is soo i'm asking here for some nice dificulty settings. I want the battles to be deadly and hard and that requires some thinking. And on the world map i just want a nice challenge, where the bots aren't completly idiots, and you can actually make allies that last. And that I have a nice number of defeats. Something like 100 wins and 50 lost.

I choose campaign difilculty medium and battle medium also but it looks a little eazy in the begining. Tell me if these dificulties are nice or just too weak.

100 wins and 50 losses? Well... it is difficult to judge your skill just from words you wrote but I'd guess leave campaign on medium because if you get 50 losses on VH well... I doubt you could get 50 losses and still win unless you only lose once every 8 years and play the entire campaign. Battle AI you should probably set to at least H or VH though. Anything less than H and the AI armies rout almost instantly from 1 charge which is boring. VH they often fight to the death but it can be more satisfying then.

VH campaign will give AI extra money and sometimes extra armies so you will face hordes of stacks meaning that losing even a couple battles in a row will leave your empire overrun.

A good compromise if you don't win most battles as clear or heroic victories is to play on medium campaign AI with VH battles and just don't use save/reload when you make a mistake. Eventually you can also do that on VH but really the ratio on VH for most factions will be 80-8 or so win-loss in the first 80 turns if you are victorious. Having a ration less than 10-1 means the AI will start to mass multiple stacks and put you on defensive which most factions have trouble dealing with(islands, map corner factions, peninsulas can deal with it)

Some factions in the first 100 turns the average is 2 battles per turn on VH. Which doesn't seem like alot but if your faction starts with only 4 or less regions and some turns armies can't travel full distance to a new battle it means some turns have 0 battles and many turns have 3-4 large battles.

Battle difficulty definitely to VH, it's actually a nice challenge sometimes. And the campaign, depends on the version of SS. If you have 6.1, VH campaign is not a problem, allies will rarely (my allies have NEVER betrayed me in 6.1) betray you so you can keep some nice alliances so you can concentrate on some other faction you want to conquer. In 6.2, I wouldn't suggest VH, it's similar to the Vanilla campaign AI, you get betrayed a lot.

For battle difficulty you should to Hard or Very Hard.

For campaign difficulty, it depends on what faction you're playing as. If you plan to play as a faction with a poor economy (basically factions above the Black Sea and ones to the right of the Caspian) you should probably choose Medium. On Hard and Very Hard the AI gets extra florins which can make it impossible to finish them off. With a poor economy, you may only be able to afford one stack at a time, while the AI has three stacks surrounding their last castle.

For very challenging battles I guess you need to choose VH. The campaign difficulty depends on what faction you're playing and how you can manage your armies and empire, but harder campaign difficulties put the AI in advantage.

Try H/H at first, and if the battles are too easy boost it up to VH. Luckily you can change the battle difficulty at any time.

Hey, I didn't know you can change battle difficulty during the game, how would I do that?
