seizure inducing flashing and freezing.

Hello Everyone,

So I finally have a system that can handle Empire (or so I thought). I buy the retail cd, spend the 16 hours downloading it off of steam, try to play it, and despair. I have no idea whats going on, but from the very get go, the screen is flashing like crazy. When I try to play a battle, it goes even more beserk flashing uncontrollably except that it freezes also. Then when I try to click on a unit, the game will completely exit out and then before I know what I'm doing the game will start up again and the battle will reload. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Sorry if It's a confusing post but I'm confused. I've tried lowering all the graphic options and am still experiencing this. Has anyone dealt with my predicament successfully?

When you got the computer of your dreams and before installing the game, did you:
1. Update your motherboard drivers?
2. Run Windows Update manually and install all software options?
3. Update your graphics drivers?

Updating the Graphics driver did it. Thanks ron.
