Humayun's reign is omitted in that link, his reign was crucial for the development of Indo-Persian culture.
It calls Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar, Abu Akbar though lol
it also calls Shah Jahan, Jahan simply.
I created this group on the Mughals:

I recommend Francis Robinson's The Mughal Emperors if you want an account of their rise, expansion and fall. Also The Great Mughals by Bamber Gascoigne is a great book on this too.
The Mughals happen to be one of my specialities![]()

The Mughals are one of my specialities also. Here's an article i wrote, which i think provides a brief but relatively detailed summary.
The main rulers were:
Babur - founder, spent years wandering in the deserts of Central Asia where he met an old man, who apparently told him of a 'promised land' of Hindustan, which he set about conquering with some help from his Persian friends.
Humayun - my personal favourite. Lost his throne to an Afghan from Bihar names Sher Shah Suri, then got it back after defeating Sher shah's successor, before falling down the stairs of his observatory and dying.
Akbar - greatest emperor in terms of expanding the empire, hence his nickname (akbar = great)
Jahangir - not hugely exciting imo
Jahan - very interesting, founded a religion which was followed by a large number of people, among other things
Aurangzeb Alamgir- expanded to its fullest extent, though extremely ruthless.
after this the empire collapsed, and by 1858 (over a hundred years later to be fair) the position 'Mughal Emperor' was little more than an honorary title.

A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.
A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
A series of articles I wrote on the first three Mughals in great detail:

lol it was only Mughal capital for a brief period, otherwise the capital was Agra from 1526-1639 and Delhi from 1639-1857, there was a reason why Delhi's Red Fort was called Qila-i-Mubarak you know because the Royal family resided there. It was known as Shahjahanabad from the time of Shah Jahan onwards since he made it his capital.Sadly after 1739 it lost much of its glory after it was looted by Nadir Shah's army, here is a painting from the time showing the Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah with Nadir Shah:
Delhi was also where Bahadur Shah Zafar resided and here is a picture of him taken before being exiled to Rangoon:
If you said Agra was the best Mughal capital of all time then I could understand because even into Aurangzeb's time, the court was held there.

Mughals were a mixed bunch. Some were quite good, and others were complete monsters, especially Aarungzeb. All were very cultured though. India has always been a cultural and financial powerhouse when united under a single kingdom. It's a shame that the Marathas didn't last longer.

However resentment amongst the ulema began to build up during Akbar's reign and this would later come into the open when Aurangzeb rebelled against Shah Jahan in 1657.Shah Jahan favoured Dara Shukoh over Aurangzeb and this would prove disastrous. The emperors were very diverse. Akbar and Jahan were open and tolerant, if extremely grandiose. Jahangir was plain hedonistic. Aurangzeb was ruthless. Humayun was lethargic.
