How long does it take you to win?

Ive been noticing on some of these threads people talking about turn 150 or turn 250, I honestly dont think I have been anywhere near turn 250. Maybe I play too driven and never let a turn go by without a move towards my goal- not saying Im a great player, I maybe give up too early in a campaign if Im not going anywhere/gondor falls, maybe I should stick with it more. what turn do people on average win by?
I think Its about 100-130 for me (but that could be a mistake, Id need to load up an old game to double check that. I usually play the Long campaign RR RC that means you need only around 6 provinces but you need to defeat Mordor and usually 2 other evil factions.

I have never officially won yet, because I like to sit back and build my cities and not blitz everything..I don't find it fun at all to do that..

If you sit back the opposing factions become too strong to be faced and there are good chances that your allies will be destroyed. I always push forward. Im always at war with at least one faction.

100-130 turns is impossible. It takes almost 200 turns to take over middle earth. So for me its like 170-200 turns.

You could probably blitz the AI, since they are pretty terrible early on, and win in a couple dozen turns. I personally find that to be unfair and 0 fun, so I sit around and take my time doing one thing at a time, expanding slowly so the AI has a chance to offer some sort of entertainment.

I won as Gondor in about 80-90 turns, but that was with some financial aid heh heh heh..

i dont like blitz game except of rohan when i blitz isengard

i usually get bored around turn 100

I really enjoy the campaign in its length, rarely doing a step without considering consequences. I try to fully expand my cities, and then go for the next conquer. Playing this way, I could take hundreds of turn to achieve victory, at least for mine victory condition: destroy all evil factions

i'm on turn 80. by some reason the black gates and barad dur where empty, so my only two stacks were able to demolish the black gates, the tower, and make a tea party.

somwhere at turn 71 aragorn appeared, i said yes. how i make him king now?. boromir (heir) is having lot of fun in mordor... and ecthelion is eveyr day more, politely speaking... "gollum".


will take a few turns to retake mordor, and some more to clean the north. at turn 100, i will go take arnor.

With High Elves or Gondor in 45 turns at V.H but I like to conqour all map at 70-80 turns except some regions were I think there is no way,Kill them all!!!!

only finished with gondor once and took more then 200 turns, it really depends on your objectives
