What is Communism and how to realize it.

Due to some recent threads, I have been wondering this: What exactly do you (TWC Communists) define Communism as and how do you believe it should be implemented?

I really want to know because of the usual "It has never truly been used" response that seems to be used all of the time is not a real answer. Every time people have tried to bring Communism about, it has failed. I'm not saying Communism failed, but the attempt to create it has. After a while, one has to ask if it is impossible to do so.

So, I would like the TWCommunists () to explain to me what Communism is and a (realistic) way it can be achieved.

Guy has given an answer to what Communism is, in the TWC Star (please do read the second article). However there are many different branches of socialist/communist ideology each giving each own answers. Most Marxists agree though that the ultimate purpose of communism is to eliminate the state. This is done by passing through socialism (aka opression of capitalists by the proletarians=workers).

communism has not been applied anywhere in the world. In order to have communism (aka the complete elimination of state and social classes) you need to pass through a state calld socialism. Socialism can be achieved by laws: the power is taken from the bourgeois and is given to the proletarians who will then opress every form of capitalism. Such a stateis usually called a dictatorship of the proletariat. Many years pass until the conciousness of the people enters whole new level in which the concept of property as expressed in capitalism has completely died out. The state starts to collapse because there is no need for it. People no longer opress each other and the goods are equally distributed without any need of opression either by state or by private corporations. And that's a society without any social classes or state.

The establishment will be necessary for a period of time until the people's beliefs are changed. Then it won't be necessary at all. And it will disband because of its mechanisms. Its mecahnism will favor communes and the freely associated producers. Thus power would be handed from the state to them (aka to the people as a whole not merely their representatives).
