Ok, guys, need to vent.

2 games just now.

a) Grassy against an 8 star leeter. I had my prussian build (4 x Fuses, 3 x Shitten,1xLandWOLF, 1x foot guards, 1x life guard, 2 musketeers, 4x lancers , 2xldc cav, and my MAN). He plays GB. For all of you plugged into the Daniu Dmw debate on DLC should note that GB is OP by default agains prussia. Better everything, except lancers. TIP: Cav disruption from the back only works on inf if you put it under fire from the front too. Othervise the squares are just cav traps.

He maneuvers i do the refused flank shtick he loses he quits.

b) Same bulid but with two howies. Again a leeter. Spanish lake. I explain clearly NO FIX art. He loses after an epic 5 cav suicide into two elite squares and meanwhile starts swearing in Deutsch at me for taking art. It was like an old sheisse porn vid but without the pictures. BTW the art wasnt even deployed.

Jesus guys, win some, lose some, eh?

By the way Strumf663, I have a nine star Napoleon Total War player ranking, tough guy internet persona, am at least a thousand times tougher in real life, AND have an ENORMOUS organ! I guess some guys just have all the luck!

the thing daniu and I are not having a debate. I am taking pains to explain basic facts to Daniu and he has been responding with some combination of esoteric and ultimately invalid math, thinley veiled insults, elaborate dodges (or ignoring my salient points), and self-contradictory statements. a real debate is a lot less childish, and it would have been over well before page 7.

I believe you've soundly thrashed daniu in your debate with him dmcheatw. You have to give poor old daniu credit for not "rage quitting" though!

I'd have to agree with you on some part, there are a lot of rage quitters around nowadays.

For example, I was in a 2v2 with a clanmate. I had snuck my cavalry behind one of the opposition's line, and stole his artillary. A couple of howitzers. He leaves immediately and me and my buddy mop up the AI.
Meanwhile, I do the exact same thing to the other player, and steal their artillary from right behind them, they quit once they realise.

I might aswell have just fought the AI.

Lol, my prussian build works fine against any nation Gen Staff, 6 Lancers, 4 Prussian Fusilier, 4 Musketeers and 4 Foot Guards. The guards give my line the solidness it needs to fight the brit army, supported by cavalry. My musketeers wont die too fast either. Also it easy to gain cav supremacy against brits.

that is what you get without proffesional clans. No social control whatsoever. Do that wearing a clantag and you will get demoted for soiling the clan's reputation should the complaint reach them. yet again i emphasize proffesional adult clan. putting some letter combo in front of yer name does not make you civilized.

sounds to me like they need to start using barbarian warlord chariots again.

or the person who points out the complaint gets a new enemy as i did when a certain person left a game after losing his general to the AI.. He is in a respected clan by us and, if he was like everyone else, his whole clan would've been banned from playing us. Luckily, he seems to be the only one who will boast when he starts a match, but when he is made a fool of, rage quit and complain about every aspect of the game that he disliked(even the stuff that he knew coming into the lobby and apparently didn't care about because he was boasting more than he was wanting us to change the rules before the match).

on topic though, i fought a guy yesterday on grassy flatlands, he brought 4 12lb arty, and camped where he was (which was ok because i had no art..) and tried to kill me with canister when i got close.
He died pretty quickly, because he deployed his infantry to shoot his art and other infantry in the back.
after i took out his cannons and he suicide charged his general into me, he ragequit because he was a terrible person

I think i am beginning to see whats going on here. a couple of months back around the time NTW came out it became real quiet on RTW. not due to less players but seemingly no more lobby flamers... Could it be possible they migrated to another TW game? or more specifically, here? If so, GL HF, they are your problems now

I have read the discourse between Dmcheatw and Daniu. I also saw the many comments about whinners complaining about imbalances etc etc. The youtube videos are also cute.

Even if any of it were true or not, the game as it is forces you to play a certain way, which makes it very linear. After playing for a few months, and idling waiting for someone at CA to achieve some balance in gameplay and getting nothing, I've come to expect the same army type over and over again.

Why complain when you see someone bring 6 lancers? They work. Heavy cavalry, light cav, grenadiers, foot artillery are almost completely worthless. Certain nations almost completely dominate the game (for whatever reason). The speed at which units move, and their ability to shoot at submachine gun speed is completely out of whack.

In the end there isn't much you can do about it, people will either stay or leave. From the looks of it, people are getting bored already.

Hi spectre11B i agree people have started getting bored already by the complete dominance of certain factions and just the way the game is going. Alot of guys from my clan are bored already and 2 have stopped playing it altogether now, which is shame as they are really good players . I have limited myself to clan battles and games against freind to avoid all the cheats and trash talk that is going on

I agree with the fact that some factions are stronger then others, and ofcorse that unbalances the situation. But I can't believe people consider it to be unplayable. I could play as any of the factions, and still pull a win out, not through spamming or dirty tactics, just through playing smartly.

Oh, and by no means am I a great player, at most I am average.

I kind of like my submachine gun toting "special forces" units Spectre11B!

I agree when playing against non clan players you can mostly complete a victory without much problem with most factions, when facing good players using prussia or gb for example then you have to really choose likewise or be a disadvantage from the start.

cool story. If a Sith member flamed he would risk a demotion... don't NTW clans take measures to keep the kids in check?

I kick or demote. Some clans just ignore it like two clans we know...

It is true as the title suggests. Honor is loose nowadays.
