Gunpowder mercs?

Hi!
I have been playing this mod for a while now. Simply excellent! A bit worried about my Byzantium campaign however. 12 turns into the gunpowder age, I still can not recruit any of the mercenaries I have been waiting so eagerly for. No Swiss pikemen in Italy, no monster bombard anywhere and so on. Sent an expedition to Mosul and Baghdad regions to get elephants. Nothing there. Why? When will these units be available? On Honga net it says the year 1400 for some units. Please tell me it wont be that long!

Thanks. Will certainly try it. Not sure that descr mercenaries file is save game compatible. I tried to copy monster bombard into that file but nothing happened. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of artillery mercs for Byzantium. Think it was one of those things that annoyed many with vanilla. I dont know if I can take cities with gun towers with only bombards. Think that they will be outranged and shot to pieces.
