    Default Land Trade

I currently have Florida and the two coastal regions to the north (can't think of the names). I just signed a Peace Treaty with the Cherokees and they are directly adjacent to my regions.

When I try to offer a Trade Agreement it is not possible (it shows a ship with a red X). I don't have Metalled Roads but I have the level of roads that cost 1500. Shouldn't I be able to trade over land?

I'm assuming your home is in another theater, the ports to add to your trade routes must be connected directly to your home theater.

I had that problem playing as United Provinces, until I figured out taking Flanders (thanks to Existenz), then more trade routes were possible (sea routes), unfortunately you can't trade by land with the native americans unless you play a faction that starts in the Americas, like Thirteen Colonies.

Does that mean the British, French and Spanish can trade over land or is that only native americans because the big 3 start with Europe as their home theatre

The British, French and Spanish can only trade over land in Europe as far as I know. But perhaps there's a way I don't know of.

    By sea???
    Wanted for:
Breaking and gluing back together and trying to pass off as never being broken in the first place.
Assault with a weapon that couldn't have possibly been deadly, but unfortunately was

I dont think the Natives know what port trading is, but i think that is kind of dumb, trading with the Native Americians was a big thing with Britian and France and improved the two European standings with the Natives. If you can use Natives as soldiers you should be able to trade with them!

I would be nice to trade with them but the can only build fishing cities or what they call it Ca should make it possible to trade with another faction if you had a border region with a trade port
