Nice guide! Somebody should make this stickied. + Reputation to you.
"In stone halls they burn their great fires,
in stone halls they forge their sharp spears.
Whilst I walk alone in the mountains,
with no true companion but tears.
They hunt me with dogs in the daylight,
they hunt me with torches by night."

Agreed on the first, second and third motion. It is for respect that somebody puts this kind of effort in order to help somebody else out there.

    Kudos to you, Plagio Maxim.

You are welcome. This file has 180+ hits since May 17...not bad! I thought people could use a downloadable comprehensive guide...I sure needed one after starting with this game.

Looks like the activity has waned a bit on the file downloads so this will probably be the last bump for this thread unless there is another rush of file hits.

    Good Gaming!

Though this is comprehensive enough, I'd like to see the stats and description for each idiosyncratic unit that different cultures boast. There is a list of all units here: http://m2tw.warlore.org/units/
I realize this would take up more space than would be practical, but perhaps all of these things could be put in a sort of reference section at the end?

Let me see what I can do. Work is slow right now and I may have time to crank out Medievalopedia, Volume II. I was planning to get something together this Fall anyway (come on fall weather, hangs around 40 degC here everyday).

If you guys can think of any good topics you would like to see in Volume II please add them here and I will see what I can do.

I'm a bit browsing through the guide, and it's very good, only maybe for one thing. In section 15, mongols timurids and aztecs, you say: "one weakness, they rarely capture setlements"

In all my games i have played this is pretty much not the case

    But otherwise, very helpfull guide
