Total War with mods or vanilla?

no offense, but why the heck would anyone like vanilla Rome better than modded Rome?

I actually keep going back to Vanilla after playing the mods. Don't get me wrong, but the mods get boring after awhile. I am waiting for the The Rise of The Roman Empire Prelude to War and RS2 to come out. Then I will probably play those more than anything else.

Edit: Although I admittingly liked the LoTR mod for Medieval 2 Total War. I still play that from time to time. I don't even play M2TW vanilla anymore.

Well since Shogun I play 1 month vanilla then switch to mods , and mods are definetely better

I am a madman. It all depends on what game we are talking about.

Rome = Vanilla(Until RotN and RS2 come out of course)
M2TW = Mods (This one is easy)
Empire = Vanilla(No mods that are extremely good right now)
Napoleon = Vanilla ( Will have to wait a while for this one really)

Depends on the game
Shogun - only possible using vanilla. And still damn good (when your PC can handle it)

MTW - both, vanilla and mods
Rome and M2:TW - only mods, can´t enjoy vanilla anymore after playing them.
Empire and Napoleon - are there any mods worth it? The few things that can be changed/edited won´t make vanilla obsolet.
