I think I already know the answer but against hope I ask because maybe, just maybe...
Why is the NTW map so foggy? ETW had the occasional passing cloud but the NTW coalitions campaign map is constantly shrouded in fog. I don't mean the fog of war, just the fog. You can't see the details of cities and other ground features well because of it. Character figures can be seen with their upper torso coming out of the fog, but from the waist down they're lost in mists. I can't seem to get a clear picture of stuff. It makes my eyes water.
Add to that the fact that I can't zoom out the way I did in ETW, or for that matter M2TW, for a panoramic view of the map; the camera only zooms out so far to a view that for my taste is still too close to the ground and "from the horizon" (i.e. lateral). It shows only a small portion of the map. With the huge empires one controls on that map, getting a strategic overview is too hard. Especially with the fog.
So my hopeless questions are: a) Can the fog be removed or reduced? b) Can the camera be made to zoom out as it's supposed to? I've started a few games but I don't seem able to continue them (because I feel all "fogged out").
