I've had major computer lust since my M2TW machine started acting funny. By the time i fixed that PC, i'd already ordered $1200 worth of new PC to run its successors. (it was old anyway, it had it coming)

I've been reading the pros and cons of both ETW and NTW and watching youtube vids of both.

My PC and TW lust reached new heights (or lows?) today and i bought both of them, even before the new hardware arrives.

omg the antici.................................pation is driving me crazy.

Don't listen to the haters, ETW is an excellent game and if your like me you'll be able to get 200+ hours out of it no problem.

ETW is the best in the series so far IMO. Have had more playing time out of ETW than anything else.

ETW is unique. Even with all the minor flaws which you won't notice any untill well over 100 hours spent on it, its worth.

Can't remember any videogame giving me over 400 hours of enterteiment. Not even an hour. Besides M2TW and RTW, and MTW.

If you loved MEII, you will be happy with ETW. Your allies don't backstab you (although the diplomacy is still lame sometimes), and you don't have a nagging pope.

Overall it's still a great strategy game

my playtime for Empire is 709 hours !(mostly Modded of course)

I love how you and all the other whiners post in the same threads about the same thing all the time expecting CA to listen to them and change the so-called 'crappy' game. i didnt open the thread, did i? somebody asked for opinions about the game and i posted mine briefly. i dont expect ca to do anything about a one year old game. i am used to posting in this forum for several years and right now i have nothing to really discuss anymore but still the habit to check the forum almost everyday and if there is a thread where i feel like "contributing" i will.
now hopefully you dont have a problem with that but if you do there is that ignore list thingy to ease your pain. you can create a whiner group in there

at this moment 350 people are browsing the m2tw main thread while 40 are browsing the etw thread. there are few mods that all are very similar to each other compared to more and bigger mods for rtw or m2tw. thats a fact. when people prefer the traditional total war and its mods/gameplay that speaks for itself.

i played etw for almost 200 hours now and i payed 7 bucks. good buy i call that. still i prefer rtw and m2tw. i like things how they used to be here

I don't whine hoping CA will listen. I gave up on that awhile ago as I know they don't give a damn about anything except what their master and owner, SEGA, commands.

Oh, no offense, but a fanboy who's goal is to censor someones opinion is just as annoying, especially when not addressing the question asked by the thread starter. At least try to stay on topic a bit if you're going to attack a persons opinion.

To address the first post of this thread, ETW is a "better" game than it was when released, though it's far from perfect. Download DMUC mod ASAP to improve it. NTW is ok. It's a better game but limited in scope and replayability. I think ETW combined with NTW and a bit of polish would of made one great game. I think you'll have fun With both titles as long as your expectations are not too high. Have fun!

Can't speak for NTW, but you will love ETW - with Darth Mod of course.

Darth Mod, Imperial Splendour and others can be found in the Empire Mod section.
