Ships won't move on campaign map!

Hi, new poster here,

I have a problem playing on the campaign map: i have had the game awhile just playing the battles, etc but i am now playing the intro campaign and its unplayable as ships won't move anywhere on the sea, xcept for a very defined few cm's(on the map) For instance, I have a ship in a port try to move it up to BC and it just won't move, the ships master saying, 'can't go there, its land' and of course it isn't.

Any solutions, I have tried loading earlier saves, still happening, don't want to scuttle ships, etc, if I can't move them then basically the intro campaign is useless!

If an enemy has a ship in the wrong spot, you're not moving that direction including leaving port, even if you can't see the enemy. If there is an enemy land unit too close to the port or its exit to the sea, you're not leaving.

NO, there are no enemy ships in the area, the game is identifying sea as land, a game breaking bug , imo

It's been explained since this came up with Empire. Youare the first one having this problem in a while so the pathfinding is working. Every unit and every ships have certain cirle they cover. If you click all the way around that ship and you can only move a few spaces in one direction, move there and find out what is blocking your path. You may have to zigzag your way out.

Sorry, but in my case it isn't, (the pathfinding) there is nothing blocking the path, i tried zigzagging, still only a limited path allowed, btw, this is the intro campaign, i have just opened up a full campaign and it is not happening, but i paid money to play all the game, i really need the IC to use as a tutorial

on what part of the ic campaign are you? if its in the part were you go and take part in the french indian war then that part is difficult since you actually stumble into lots of french ships, and thus your pathfinding could not be broken, only that you enter the ''threat area'' of those ships (you'll see a red space with the ship in its center)

Well before then, part 1, capture Quebec, etc, it really isn't my ships being blocked by enemy AI, I can't even move a ship out of my home port with not a enemy ship in sight

its very annoying,
