    Default Changing the Unit Scale

So here i am playing on huge. I get around 8000 units in a battle, i start lagging, so i change to large (unfortunately i had to start over...). However large is half the scale of huge. Is there a way to change it so its three-fourths or so of the huge unit scale?

First of all welcome to the forum.

It's possible to change the unit size in the file 'preference.txt'. Huge unit size is shown as 160 - with this scale some units have up to 240 men in a unit. I don't know if you can change this value to sizes between the ones that are associated with standard sizes. If you look at your file (if you are playing RTW it will be in the 'preferences' folder) you will see the value associated with large.

    UNIT_SIZE:160

You could look to changing some of the other graphic settings that will allow you to have the larger sized units - I know that vegetation is a killer of graphics cards. Post what your graphics settings are:

Um, well everything is the highest possible (high if there is no highest), including anti-alising. resolution is 1440 by 900. Everything is checked. In order words, the graphics are at the highest possible.

I mean reduce the graphic quality which may allow you to play with the larger unit sizes without lag......
