What Religion Is The Most 'Logical' To Atheists/Agnostics?

Ok, I just got curious and wanted to ask all you Atheists, Agnostics, and other "non-believers" out there a question. Which religion in the world to you is the most logical? Makes the most sense? If you had to choose a religion based on your belief in its logic, which would it be?

Now I fully understand that most of you think that no religion makes much sense, that's why you are Atheist/Agnostic/whatever. But just disregard that for a moment, and try to answer honestly which religion to you makes the most logical sense in your mind.

Reasons why would also be appreciated and helpful, and I'd like to make it known I ask this question in complete peace, I want no religious fights in here and would appreciate it if you'd also not want a fight and help not cause one. Please be respectful to everyone, you don't have to agree with them but please respect their beliefs or lack thereof. Also I will not have an opinion nor vote in this, and I ask any other religious person not either since we have a bias. Thank you for your cooperation.

I'm an atheist but if I were to choose a religion I would be Orthodox Christanity.

I think Buddhism because it actually has a truthful goal and doesnt believe in God(s) and all that other stuff.

There's nothing wrong with that. And Buddhists generally still believe in a God you know, they don't worship it but it's still there.

Thats beside the point, I am just talking about the main fundamentals of Buddhism, not the spin offs.

Buddhists believe in divine beings that could be taken as quasi-Hindu incarnations of gods (read the story of Buddha's birth) although they play a small role in a religion about minimizing misery in this world IIRC.

I believe that's Mahayana Buddhism. I haven't heard of any such thing in Theravada. Theravada presents nothing in the divine.

I think Paganism makes the most sense. Worshipping the Sun is a jolly good idea, given that it has done more to sustain us and give us life than any violent sky-man has probably ever done.

actually what scorch said makes alot of sense but i already voted Buddhism because Buddha didnt believe in any gods and based the religion on secualrism or something iirc

I wouldn't push it for logical necessarily, but buddhism is the most reasonable and most progressive for mankind, and my favorite out of the choices.

Most atheists on this board fall into one of two camps: Radical

s who view religion and faith as a blight on humanity and would sooner spit in your eye than show you respect, or those who are ignorant as hell. In which case the default position is Buddhism, cause it has all that funky meditation and none of the moral conundrums.

There are exceptions on TWC but they are few. So really, asking what religion Atheists on this board view as the most logical is pointless. The answer will be based on which they have had the least experience with, and therefore is not the object of their irrational scorn.

That would be true only if everyone thus far hasn't given their honest opinions and mostly explained why without attempting to bash or naysay religion in any way, shape or form. However you sir have broken that chain!

You were posting a hypocritical post, and without provocation attacked Atheists. I pretty much asked people to keep things peaceful had you read the first post all the way through and people were indeed peaceful. Then you came in here talking about Atheists doing the exact same thing you had just done, with absolutely no relevance to the topic at hand whatsoever, thus breaking that chain of peace and thus causing this little down-spiral we're having now.

No I didnt. I didn't call Atheists meanie heads or aggressive, I said most Atheists on this board are Atheists from a prejudice against their respective upbringing; a childish pre pubescent revolt they never grew out of. I, obviously, am not a hypocrite as I'm not rebelling or prejudiced at all, I just find the Atheists [well most] on this board to be pathetic examples of human beings.
