    Music Mod by RALF SOLO for Third_Age 1.41 (and all version) 05-2010

    A: Hello, this is a homage to the Third_Age Team , I have replace all the music (except 3-4)
    by +200 samples edited and mixed , the samples are for Good factions, Bad Factions and for both,
    there are also some specials musics for each factions.
    I have tested the mod and it works great (but wait for your fed back)

    Installation:

    1- Find the files in your game folder : Third_Age\data\sounds

    events.idx
    events.dat
    Music.idx
    Music.dat

    2- Move them (cut/paste) to an other folder.
    3- copy and paste the folder DATA from the mod (after have extract it) in
    :

    …\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data (or what ever your game folder looks like)

    4- IF NEEDED –

    Find the file “descr_sounds_music.txt” in your game folder : Third_Age\data\
    Move it (copie/paste) to an other folder , and copy and paste the file
    descr_sounds_music.txt from the mod folder in it (I'm not sure you will need it thought)

    5- start the game
    6- enjoy
    7- I will post the mod ready to be edited by you at will, shortly

    B: Salut, voici un hommage pour l'équipe du mod Third_Age, j'ai remplacé toutes
    les musiques (sauf 3 ou 4 ) par des morceaux édités et mixés, les morceaux sont
    pour les factions du Bien, du Mal et pour les deux avec quelques musiques
    spécifiques à chaque faction.
    J'ai testé ce mod and il est super (j'attends vos commentaires)

    Installation

    1-Trouvez ces fichiers dans votre jeux : Third_Age\data\sounds

    events.idx
    events.dat
    Music.idx
    Music.dat

    2- Déplacez les (coupier/coller) dans un autre dossier
    3-Copiez/collez le dossier DATA( après extraction) dans :

    …\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data (enfin le nom du
    dossier du jeu...)

    4-SI BESOIN , trouvez ce fichier “descr_sounds_music.txt” dans le
    dossier Third_Age\data\ et déplacez le, puis copier/collez celui du
    mod (je ne pense pas que vous en aurez besoin)

    5-commencez le jeu
    6-Amusez vous bien
    7-je pense mettre en ligne la version que vous pourrez éditer
    à votre guise , bientôt

    I add a sound fix for those who have problems with voices , install all the text files in the Medieval Total War 2 data folder ( not the Third Age data folder)

    Well it is LOTR music style , I'm making (I try ) a ingame video for youtube right now

    Good. I just hope that you didn't use too much (if any) copyrighted music, or else you might have to take it down. Samples are fine though, I believe that's what they did with the TATW soundtrack.

    Anyway, I'm looking forward to see what you have for us.

    Well there is no more copyright stuffs than there are already on this fantastic mods which is a NONE commercial version of a game

    The seventh file is corrupt... Why do I have to download 7 separate files.

    Hello, you should download the part 7 again, this should work as other people said so . I have cut it in 7 part because I had problem to upload the all thing at once. If you have problem I will upload it a second time in an other site.

    Downloaded three times now, and I'm getting the same error as Berserker1. Must be something I'm doing wrong if others have gotten it to work....

    Anyway, what's Megaupload like these days for file sharing? Think it used to be a 1GB upload limit?

    You can pick the files which were corrupted for you at Megaupload as they are in the same order

    Thanks ralf, was able to extract successfully from the Megaupload downloads. Listening now.

    Could someone maybe post a little review? I will try it out possibly (although I have added lotr music to the mod myself, for personal use of course).

    I'm only about 20 mins into the file, and so far it's all been parts of tracks from the OSTs. To be fair, I can't really judge how effective ralf's use of these tracks has been as I'm just listening, not actually playing a campaign, so I don't know where each snippet is being used.

    But, like yourself, I've already done this with my own copies of the OST.

    ralf, i have to admit i was rather sceptical when i read your post. however, i have to admit you' ve done an excellent work. every piece fits pefectly and it must have taken ypu hours.
    +rep for your professional work. i have to warn you, though, that all of these pieces are copyrighted, and some of them are long. i am not sure you are allowed to post them, so your thread might as well be closed

    Thanks, well try, I have my own, which is basically a mixture of warcraft soundtracks with lord of the rings soundtracks. The music in vanilla is really bad in taste, sounds so generic, so why do they put that music in there? The music is like a non sequitor, or designed to be a nuisance... If you just listened to the music, you would not download this nice and wonderful mod. Oh well, I understand they can not just use someone elses copyrighted music, but what is the vanilla music? It is plain and boring, it should be deleted completely from the studio from whence it came!

    Thanx, the mod was intended for my friends and me in first instance, I tried to put the samples to fit in the right moment in the campaign , also like it is a non commercial mod and the files are packed , if I can please few people more...
