i dont bash Americans
Because they forget that despite America's weaknesses it still has a net positive effect on the world.
It can be summed up by this thoughtful, insightful video.

But uh...who exactly is being invaded and begging for help? Dont get me wrong I think negative attitude of america thru out the world is a bit over the top but as a wise old man said with great power comes great responsibility. It is reasonable for other nations to questions the motives of US, just as we did with the Russians and we are doing and will continue to do with China. When something wields influence on that level its going to be looked at with suspicion at times. And it isnt wrong to do so because as all nations do the US acts out of self interest first so when it does something it does so because it is in its interest to do so. The problem is sometimes that goes against the interest of OTHER nations.

Because we include ourselves in everyone else's business, for better or for worse.
It's no surprise then that we're either annoying or helpful, and universally people will have strong opinions of us.

It goes back to the beginning of our country. Some of the worlds greatest minds began to shape what people thought of the USA. Most notably, in Europe. And it wasn't nice stuff. Everything from us being uncivilized, bastard children, or that the USA was a grand experiment, that would fail. And it only bolstered the all too common feeling that Europe was more refined. To the point that people thought, and still think, that we are uncivilized. Keeping in mind that being spat on in France, came at the same time as we were propping up their currency, and helping to rebuild their railroad.
Despite it's place in the world, the US has always sort of been treated like the red-headed step child. And if anything, that has only subsided in the last 30 years, more than any other time. Even with Bush, he led from a position where he simply did not care what people thought. Everyone knew where they stood with him. And despite Obama's focus on repairing relationships that might have been strained, or worse, you sense that often that is simply taken advantage of.

Absolutely this. And honestly it goes back even further than that. I can't remember what book it was I read about colonial America but one of the premesis(sp?) was that overtime, after the establishing of the colonies, America was viewed more and more as it's name sake, a colony or better yet a child. We were almost an Ireland from the brit POV, just further away. On the other hand, we never viewed ourselves that way. We were English.
Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.
To the contrary, the most common feeling in most of the world right now is "stay theout America!"
As Cary Elwes best put it, As You Wish.

lolwut? Last I checked it was people asking the US to leave them alone.
You look great today.
Simple reasons. Whenever you can benefit from someone, you are their friend, and when you can't benefit from them then you don't want them to mess with you.
If you are being invaded, you will beg and plead for the US to help you because they can and it'll help you. If your looking to overthrow your government, you'll beg and plead for the US to help you, again because they can and you need the help.
If you don't need the US' help, then you want them to leave you alone - because they usually want you to do things that you don't want to do - and won't really help you much at the time.
It also doesn't help that the history of global powers tells everyone that your up to no good. Every other Global power in history has had horrible effects on the world, and we're in the same basket. The Soviets, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and British have done horrible things that are still remembered today, and any power that looks to even be remotely similar to them blurs into their horrible club.

I only bash bad Foreign policy decisions that US makes or sometimes culture in rural South. But in all I know US is a country of great opportunity and a haven for immigrants![]()

Funny thing, a great many illegal immigrants were legal immigrants who neglected to renew their visas.yes for I guess the mexicans. but people from across the atlantic find US to be the best country for legal immigrants.

Nah, nobody really bashes America anymore. But there is a little bit left over from Bush's reign, plus the new breed of psychotic (inbred lol) hick is just as terrifying as before but now: funnier, so there's no need to add anything. The hilarious shenanigans of the tea-baggers and Fred Phelps entertains the world now.

Because pretty much everyone in the world owes their freedom to America, either from Nazism or Communism. People just can't take the fact that a 230 year old country kicks global ass
