Re: Transition
Well I like to build up a good economy and put military build up in second for a while and I prefer Italian factions because they good at that adn have cheap units(militias). So i guess my main question is about how I showed pace myself in they game, how often should I build and recuit per turn. Also what is more noob freindly ealry or late campigh?

Re: Transition
Well, I play SS6.2 on M/M early era. I think this era would be more Noobie friendly...
. Generally you have about twenty turns or so before the AI starts to flex it's muscles. Playing an Italian or Iberian faction is always like attending a pot luck dinner. Each campaign's gonna be different.
Now for Italy.
1. Take Florence & Milan ASAP. If Genoa add Bern to the list.
2. Call a crusade on turn 3. Antioch because the Templars will take it by turn 8.
3. Join it and get the free upkeep and experience.
4. Take the St. Johns Chapter House. The units from there are superior to anything in Italy in the early era. Plus the free upkeep slot & health bonus.
5. Get a 2nd tier smith ASAP. Armour up your Italian and Spear militia.
6. Your capital needs to be a military fortress 1st, economic concerns place somewhere else.
7. Politics is all about timing and taking advantage of opportunities when they present themselves.
8. Plan for the Papal backstab and be ready to take Rome and relocate the Pontiff.
9. Stick to only free garrisoned militia in non threatened areas. Stay mean and lean.
10. utilize your Family members/Generals as city/castle builders to full effect.
