No Buildings showing on Campaign Map
Hey guys,
First and foremost, appologies if this topic has already come up. I did have a bit of a look for a simmilar topic, honest. But after about 12 of 102 pages I decided I'd just post anyways.
This is a problem I've only mysteriously developed recently, presumably after one of the previous updates that Steam had been so good to do for me. The rest of the game works find, multiplayer, battles, etc. But whenever I load into the campaign map for whatever reason. Be it coming back from a battle, loading a game or starting a new one and going to the Campaign map. The game loads, there are buildings. As soon as the game makes that "thung" noise to tell you its fully loaded, the buildings and other objects like trees and so on all vanish. Fleets out at sea are displayed correctly, its just the land side of things that I cannot see.
What with this game being tied directly into Steam, I don't know of a lot of ways around the problem. I've tried deleteing the local content and re-downloading the game to no avail. I've considered re-installing from the Disc, but Steam will only automatically update the game for me before I can play it anyway.
I'm running a Vista 64bit system with a Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 chip, 4Gig of OCZ DDR2 and a Nvidia GTX260 card with the latest drivers.
(Just to make sure, I have just checked the options menu to make sure I hadn't un-checked "Display Buildings" by accident, but there doesn't appear to be a button for that.)
I'm a little lost. Normally I'd go looking for a patch, but with it being linked at the hip with Steam I am unsure if this isn't just going to cause me more issues in the long run.
Thanks for your time guys. I appreciate any help you can offer.

Re: No Buildings showing on Campaign Map
Post your dxdiag.
Vanishing buildings is tied to graphics and its drivers and memory. Have you tried turning down your settings?

D'oh.
I forgot I changed the graphics settings and then didn't use the program for three months. Thanks for reminding me there, Dude!
Chalk up one ID-10-T Error for me!
Sorry to have wasted your time.
