I don't belive that there are any such commands, but isn't the lack of visibility part of the greatness of the game?
That is that fog and such can greatly hamper your efforts to command your army, just imagine the chaos on a battlefied such as the battle of Lützen. I remeber a quite disasterous loss in a campaign just becuase of dense fog and nighttime. Really adds some challenge to the game.

Night is not bad... if you really can't see then turn up your monitor. Fog is a bit more difficult but if you pause and zoom alot its ok. Blowing snow and fog is the worst... might as well just guess most of the time where the enemy unit is.

Only thing I can think of at the moment is to remove the night battle trait from the enemy general. If you do, you should balance it out by increasing his command stars by +1 or +2

I found making the brightness higher clears things up a bit in a night battle if its too dark. In the fog though you'll just have to find your own way out.

I think he is talking about the mod (included in RR/RC compilation) which makes night fights way more dark.

There is a way to remove this to "vanilla nights" back. Just take a search on the forums.

Yea those battles can be tricky. But still blowing snow+fog is the worst.

Night battles aren't much of a problem if it already starts at night. Most troops will have torches so you can atleast see where troops are. The problem is when a battle starts in late afternoon/evening and then it starts to get dark. At this point, no one has any torches and it becomes rather difficult to figure out who is what and where everyone is.

Fog/dust storms are also rather annoying to fight in. The constant use of pause and moving the camera around breaks the flow of combat and becomes more difficult to micromanage the elements of your army.

Yeah happened to me few times, normal daytime battle but it was dark, still I won so I didnt mind that much

It seems that the game picks random time for the battles. For example I tried night attack once but I didnt like the weather so I waited once and voila, it was day, but without those pesky enemy reinforcements :p . It looked like the sun is about to go down but it was enough time to kill the enemy.

darn, i was hoping there was a command in the console i could do, kinda like to force a toggle of the "wait" option you only get for attacking

As mentioned remove the night fight trait from the ai general and counter the chance by giving him extra command traits. You'll fight the same battle only by day.
