    Default I think Steam is trying to redownload the entire game...help?

    Uh...aside from swearing never to purchase a CA product again as I won't have to jump through all these hoops if I get a cracked one, does anyone know how I can play the game, if this indeed what is happening? I don't fancy having to reinstall

    I can't even play in offline mode as it says it's not ready...help???

    I think your game may be patching to 1.6, and that is over 800 Mb. Leave your Steam interface open for lunch and by dinner it will be ready, unless you are on dial-up.

    I wouldn't put it past Steam to delete your games though, it did that to me for X3 Terran conflict.. went and deleted all but 200MB for no reason.
