How to change the special unit limit?

is there a possibility, hack or mod or what else so that i could change the unit limit from x to unlimited of a special unit? i was searching in the forum but i dont found anything else regarding this possibility.

But if it is possible would you remove all the elite unit limits?

Having a whole stack of Old Guard may seem a great idea but will probably be a lot less fun when you find every enemy stack is made up of guards as well.

I really hated that in Rome and Medieval Total War you always ended up fighting either whole stacks of elite units or whole stacks of peasants and never a balanced army.

And one thing that NTW gets almost right is balancing AI forces - why spoil that?

check around the modding threads for a while, i remember one in there somewhere.
also, this type of post usually goes there, not in the general discussion forum.

that being said, i agree with Clodius.
Having unlimited super units would seem fun at first, but get pretty boring after a battle or 2

Just download the PFM, go to the units tables, and take a look, there's a unit limit value ( at least there should be, there was in Empire). Hope this helps.

i wouldnt like that because i like it that there is a certain amount of special units, thats what makes them special

Yeah, if possible I'd like to increase the Moscow Musketeers from 1 to either 6 or 8. I think that's only fair.

It's very simple. Just open data.pack and all patch.pack you've got and look for the db --> unit tables --> units and look for the unit limit. 0 makes the unit limitless and every number from 1 to whatever gives the maximum unit number during the campaign. Just remember to uncheck CA packs are read only and make backup copies just in case.

if i true to mod data.pack it crash after i true to save any help??????????????????????????!!!!
