I think i will like it, I love total war games. But how is it with crashing? is the crashing fixed with the patches? I been looking this game up and alot of people complain about crashing to desktop but the posts were from when the game just came out so I imagine its alot better?

i played for a few months and didnt have any crashes until i downloaded darthmod and i was told it was because there were too many units on my screen :/ (although my computer dosent have those stats). But IMO empire isnt too bad now, even vanilla, but mods are what pretty much makes the game truely fantastic, since you cant pick out the one you want and such.

Without mods, the game is very stable if your system is good. In the 6 months that i'm playing it, i had about 4 crashes or so

yes, you can run both, if you have the memory to load both, and there are some good mods out there for both. All very stable at this point in my opinion.

Actually my system is below the minimum requirements for this game and it only crashed once, a bit laggy though, but I'm not complaining cause as stated earlier it's below the minimum requirements.

Got a 2.3 GHz, 2Gb RAM and Vista 32-bit, had the game since New Year and no crashes yet. No mods installed yet though, so I'm not sure how it would hold up with those in. Running version 1.6 by the way.
