Yes you have.
Yes you have.
I have a problem.
Game always stuck in first loading screen and CPU is not responding. I try every campains and older versions, still nothing.
Read FAQ.
I have no problem with playing single player, the mod just worked perfectly. But I can't play the multiplayer. If I click the MP button from NTF_3.exe, when I select multiplayer, the NTW prompts a window that says Steam is not running. While if I try from Steam, it is just the standard Napoleon Total War, without any mods. Any solutions?
Thank You![]()

Never mind about my post. Finally I got it correct, trying to figure it out myself.
Thanks for the great mod anyway.
Hi...This mod is fantastic, you should be proud of yourself
I would like to play with the portugueses units in de GC...I already put the portuguese units' pack in the data folder of the game, but I don't know what I must put in user.script to play and recruit the portuguese units on the GC... I would apreciate very much your help.
I'm sorry waste your time...I also sorry my english :b, and my noob questions ^^
First do what is said in post #486 above because Portugal has different name in Peninsula and GC. Then add the command:
in your user script file.Code:mod portugal.pack;
I had already done that, but it wasn't work, it works just in battles but not in the GC...
Do I have the portugal.pack and portugal_loc.pack in the right folder?
I have it in (...)/napoleon total war/data...
cumps, Ditalco
Then try this: Open portugal.pack and in Choose an Action, select "movie". Save as somewhere and copy back to data replacing the old pack. This time do not add anything in user script and delete the previous portugal command if it is still there.
nothing :S
I was thinking maybe the codes for the recruit buildings isn't right... maybe the buildings in the peninsular campaign had diferent code than GC, and I must altered them to recruit troops in the GC...
sorry boring you :b
I do what i said before and it work...
If you want i can send to you the portuguese units' pack to the GC to you put in this thread...
"Obrigado" for your time and knowledge
A good 2011 to you...

What exactly happens when you try to start your game? Perhaps you tried to close NTF before closing the game? Go in data folder and check if there is boot.pack present. If not copy it from data\BootBak folder.
Hi. Congrats on the mods, they are pretty great. I had ETF, which worked great, but never was able to get NTF working right. The screen comes up, then go into say Egypt, yet in game its just as it was, normal. Unfortunately my computer suffered a viral attack, and lost ETF. Now im having trouble getting it to work, as well as NTF. I would appreciate any help with either of these.![]()

If game starts using mod launcher but plays vanilla the means that for some reason the mod packs are not loaded. Start launcher and before start any campaign check first your game's data folder. Are the mod packs copied there? Then check your user.empire_script.txt (user.script.txt for Napolein) to see if mod command is present there. If you see more things entered there and you are not sure what is about, delete everything, close txt, close launcher and start again the mod.
Go in game's data folder and take a copy from boot.pack. Install my mod. Do not use my mod but try to start a vanilla game. My mod installation does not mess with vanilla files and you must be able to start the game. At this point, if you have not launch NTF for the fist time it is like it's not installed. If you have problem to start a vanilla game at this point then something else is wrong. Take a screen shot of your data folder to see it's content please. If you can start a vanilla proceed.
Mod does make some necessary changes when you launch it which are restored back when you close it. The most important is the replace of boot.pack. This is a pack with the intros of the game. When you start my mod launcher, it moves boot.pack in the folder data\BootBak that has been created during mod's installation, and uses it's own NTF_boot.pack. When you finish playing and close launcher it replaces the vanilla boot.pack and removes all NTF packs. That is why you must never close mod launcher before closing first the game. If game runs it wont let it restore things.
The game will fail if: a) there is no boot.pack at all in data folder b) there are more than one. So If you launch the mod and the game does not start, do not close launcher and have a look again in your game's data folder. Is vanilla boot.pack moved in data\BootBak? Are the 3 NTF mod packs present there? Take a screen shot. Close the launcher. Are the NTF packs moved away? Is boot.pack restored? If not use a copy from the back up you've taken and try to play a vanilla game.

This mod didn't do anything. I would click on Total Factions, but just as always, all that was available was Prussia, Austria, Great Britain, and Russia.
You could have stopped it.
Did you try the suggested solution from FAQ?
I did that, and it runs now. Something odd did happen, and I don't know if it is because of the mod, but a couple times while loading a file, the game has crashed, and for some reason the sound on my computer stopped working for several minutes.
You could have stopped it.
Today I found out that for whatever reason, I cannot play even Vanilla NTW with audio. Is it possible that this mod is the cause? It seems rather unlikely, but I cannot think of anything else that it could be. I'd like to stress that my audio continues to not work for several minutes after I close the game, and it only happens after opening NTW.
