Ok i have a question about capitals basically. If you loose your capital does it go to another province? and also if lets say your the Maratha confederacy and you loose all your provinces in india but you have 1 more province based in your does it move your capital there or is it counted as a colony and you loose the game?

You can lose your capitol depending on the faction ... the exact perameters are a mystery to me as well. The Dutch seem to be destroyed if the lose Amsterdam even when they have expanded well in the Americas and are still alive in India as well. I have destroyed France in Europe except for Corsica ... they stayed in the game ... same for Spain I pushed them to having only Morocco and their American colonies yet they stayed. The Denmark always loses Denmark but they can move their Capitol to Iceland.

I wonder if they stay alive as long as they have a city in the homeland continent ... and that is the difference between Denmark and UP.

I have also seen that if they get the region back then the capitol moves right back to where it was, it does not stay with the new capitol.

The answer is yes, if a faction loses the last province in its home theatre, it's gone.
