Battle Won't End?
I just attacked an French army with a Spanish army reinforcing. I destroyed both armies, however the battle would not end. I ran my troops all over the battlefield trying to discover a hidden unit....nothing there. Is this a bug? To end it I selected 'Quit Battle' assuming since I decimated them I would be victorious. Wrong. It said I was defeated. WTF?

Happened to me too, also when the enemy got reinforcements.
He who lives by the sword has a pretty good advantage.

It's a bug. A bad one.

I have found that sometimes, reinforcements get stuck. Those stuck units count for ending a battle. However, you cannot directly attack them, with the rest of that unit outside the battle zone. I have corrected this in the past by ordering units to get up close for auto melee, or some artillery fire.
They can be difficult to locate, and sometimes in very difficult/obstructed terrain.
This could also be a separate problem though with similar results of unending battle.
