Downloaded TATW files, what's next?

I downloaded the Third Age Total War files to my computer ahead of time..They are saved, and sitting on my desktop..My Total War Kingdoms Expansion DVD is coming wednesday from Amazon..
One file is a compressed zipp folder, and the other 5 files are application exe files. I will turn off UAC before I click on any of those files. So my questions are kind of simple...
1. Do I double left click on the compressed zip folder?..or .Do I right click and have the pop up menu show up, and then left click on "extract all" menu item..?
2. Do I need a special program like Winzip to uncompress the zip folder?
3. For the application exe's can I just double left click on them from my desktop? or do I need to copy the exe files to my sega/total war folder and run the exes from there?



ps..of course I will install kingdoms BEFORE clicking on any TATW files..
pps..I have windows vista...

answer all your questions. generally the installation of TATW is like the
installations of any other game plus patches. install everything in its correct
order and you are fine. (the compressed zip file - what is it - bugfix 1.1 or what?)

ah and make sure you install the official kingdoms 1.5 update for you game version.
that means in the correct language because there are updated for ENG, GER, FRA .....
