    Default Population Limit

    Seems like the population limit of any city is bounded to a 216000 pop.
    żDo you know how to increase that limit?

    PS: Yes, pop is actually growing up at a certain rate, but the amount of population stays freezed over the years...

    I believe it is hardcoded, you cannot change it.

    There are various counter effects to population growth, but I do not think the pop size of a city is hard coded. Have you tried to edit the counter effects in descr_settlement_mechanics.xml?
    And then set the fertility level in descr_regions to 10.

    Thats not a fertility problem. The growing indicator is at 8%, so it must be growing, but its not.

    The mod Ive been trying doesnt have that file anywhere. Should be it in the main data folder of the game? If it should, I guess I erased it.

    Anyway I found this in the file you have told me, but not in the main game folder but in another mod installation:

    - <population_levels>
    - <!-- city -->
    <level name="village" base="500" upgrade="1000" min="500" max="1500" />

    <level name="town" base="1000" upgrade="3000" min="500" max="6000" />

    <level name="large_town" base="3000" upgrade="10000" min="500" max="13000" />

    <level name="city" base="10000" upgrade="18000" min="500" max="30000" />

    <level name="large_city" base="18000" upgrade="36000" min="500" max="60000" />

    <level name="huge_city" base="36000" min="500" max="120000" />

    - <!-- castle -->
    <level name="moot_and_bailey" base="500" upgrade="1000" min="500" max="1500" />

    <level name="wooden_castle" base="1000" upgrade="2500" min="500" max="5000" />

    <level name="castle" base="2500" upgrade="8000" min="500" max="12000" />

    <level name="fortress" base="8000" upgrade="18000" min="500" max="22000" />

    <level name="citadel" base="18000" upgrade="35000" min="500" max="50000" />

    </population_levels>

    </root>
    I will try changing the red part and copying that into the other mod folder.

    PD: Im trying BI2 Vandals mod 1.201.

    The file is standard vanilla, if it hasn't been modified, then it will not be included in the mod. If none of the mods that you got have it, then you will have to unpack your medieval2 game.

    I have tried reinstalling the game again, but the funny thing is that now I cant find the "descr_" files anywhere! Seems like they have not been installed, but the game runs perfectly...
    In wich folder should descr_settlement_mechanics.xml be?

    You need to unpack your game: these are some of the nearly 15,000 files that are packed.

    It works perfectly, I put the limit at 999999999 pop, so its no longer bounded without reason. Thnk you guys!
