    Default ARCADE mod for 1.41

    ARCADE mod by Ralf Solo 05-2010

    For Third_Age 1.41

    Hello , a little mod for an old man like me who doesn't have
    so much time to play

    - buildings in 1 turn
    - full recruit slots for city and castles (9)
    - new mercenaries to recruit
    - money money for everyones
    - +300 years life span for heroes and generals
    - more family members
    - evil cruzade more often
    - assassination and bride reduce to 1 % sucess
    - extra morals to troops to fight till death ( but can be routed still)
    - double ammo for projectiles units to handle fearless enemies
    - Long campain goals expended (Good factions have to destroy all Evil Factions
    and Evil Factions have to destroy all good factions)
    - All regions occuped by factions at start

    Result : chalenging Evil forces, especialy Mordor

    Tested with very hard campain and normal battle difficulty (no bug)

    Install

    - copy and paste the files in your folder game after have back up the originals ones,
    - Uninsall with the original files

    Third_Age/data/ descr_missions.txt
    descr_campaign_db.xml
    export_descr_buildings.txt
    export_descr_unit.txt

    world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/ descr_mercenaries.txt
    campaign_script.txt
    descr_strat.txt
    descr_win_conditions.txt

    Hi Ralf, thank you for the effort. There are always people who appreciate a faster pace.

    It's your choice of course but I would advise against posting your e-mail as spammers stick to it like flies to fly-paper. People can already send e-mails to each other via profile pages, there's a "send message" drop down menu with a send e-mail option.

    Sounds like a nice quick arcade style campaign game, could be fun. Looks like a hard game for Gondor. I'll give it a shot, lets see how long it takes me to rise to dominance. If anything it will spare me the "rebel settlement rush" which has always been there.

    Unlimited money+9 recruitment slots seems to = stack spam . But I guess since its suppose to be a quick campaign autoresolve will handle most battles.

    how come it crash to desktop at loading screen with no error?

    Maybe you have a submod installed or you have the 1.4 version but forgot to install the bug fixer (1.4.1)?

    yeah that was it, but this mod is really fun to play as gondor!!!!!!

    Oh, the export_description_buildings, yessss, I can change it myself. I hate waiting for buildings to build, 6 years for a barracks? I hate having to wait years just to get a few buildings, that can not be realistic.

    This title is really misleading, I would think an old man would actually want the game to be slowerrrrrr. Not faster.

    I work around 40 hours a week, 5 hours that I do not get paid for, and I have plenty of time for games... Your doing something wrong if you do not. Play at night

    Nice change, really fits now. How did you change the name? I want to change my submod thread so people know it is compatible with such and such.

    Misleading title for this thread - I was expecting 'old men' as a playable faction (maybe as another evil faction at the top of the map).

    Would I be able to download? I have the latest rc, but I most likely do not have 1.4.1... Though I just want to take a couple of those he listed, and apply them, I really hate waiting for buildings to be completed... Also, I would like Evil to crusade more, does that equal stack spam? As long as they are not just garrisoning around, I want them to attack me.

    This is for vanilla 1.4.1 not rc/rr.
