    Default BC3 - ETA?

I'm sorry, I know people hate getting this question, but I've searched the forum and I couldn't find any information regarding an ETA, or at least a rough estimate. The preview looks absolutely incredible, and as a die hard stainless steel fan I've been hearing great things about BC for some time. I wanted to know if I should download 2.0 or just hold out for BC 3?

Cheers guys, keep up the good work

Let me tell you a story.

Once I was a young lad, vibrant and full of life. I enjoyed spending time on forums looking at upcoming mods and hoping for a preview or a release date. Miraj once sent me a picture of Axum on the BC map because he liked my posts and wanted to thank me. I was watching the Roma Surrectum forums for signs of new units in RS2. Life was good. But hoping for a preview or release dates turned into more than just hoping, it turned into an obsession. I found myself spending every free moment on the forums, looking for a sign, a post - anything. I needed a distraction.

My thought processes at that time were poor, so I joined the Roma Surrectum 2 dev team as a freelance writer. Paycheck was small, but the work was interesting. Could do worse for yourself at such an age, I guess. But as I got deeper into the organization, I began to understand the full scope of the work put in. Changing a hill on the map takes 15 minutes of effort. Skinning a unit takes hours. Modelling takes days. People get married, get divorced, get caught putting razors in candy. It's hard. Life got hard. I stopped eating properly. I grew a beard to compliment the dark circles around my eyes. Started wearing grey clothes. I walked with a slouch and people that once loved my company were put off, wondering what had changed me so.

That's when things really took a turn for the worse.

I was at my desk, writing about Hyrkania when I got a call from Sayeed. He said Miraj hadn't responded to calls for a few days so he and Malik went round to see if he was okay. His house was trashed, no trace of him. Called Alex and he said he saw Miraj get taken into a black helicopter at the local airport. He was in handcuffs, surrounded by men in suits...looked like a CIA job. Suddenly we realized that if there was a paper trail it'd lead back to us. We used fake names for the cell phone purchases but the store had cameras. Abdullah bought the fertilizer with his own credit card, rahimahullah.

I dropped off the face of the earth. Not sure what happened to the other guys. Except Abdullah. CIA caught up to him somewhere in Hemland. I heard rumors that Sayeed's in Yemen but I'm afraid to reach out - phone's are likely bugged. Sometimes I hear a click when there shouldn't be one. And for two years I hid, dead to the people who once knew me.

When I came back things were strangely the same. I met with Miraj a few times. He wasn't clear on how he got out so I was careful around him...I'm thinking there was a deal where he'd report our actions, and maybe 'help' us if we wanted to start something. I've seen the first season of Lost so I knew what was going on. After a while we went our separate ways. I heard he's in Calgary now, fitting in inshallah. I don't blame him. But the mods I had been waiting for at the start of this whole mess were still unreleased.

It takes time, kid. They don't know. They have hopes and ideas but things happen. God how things happen. Take the advice of the man who has seen it all, and done it too. Be patient. Don't think about release dates. It's the start of a long, dark road. Take it easy and you'll go far kid. Alhamdulillah.

"A very meaningful quote of a outstandingly wise saying from a historicly boundless important person"

Famously, a curse has been attached to opening Timur's tomb. In the year of Timur's death, a sign was carved in Timur's tomb warning that whoever would dare disturb the tomb would bring demons of war onto his land. Gerasimov's expedition opened the tomb on June 19, 1941. Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union by Nazi Germany, began three days later on June 22, 1941. Shortly after Timur's skeleton and that of Ulugh Beg, his grandson, were reinterred with full Islamic burial rites in 1942, the Germans surrendered at Stalingrad.
