Home of the Brave

The United States Army in the 19th Century -V1.0

I do not plan for this to be just one mod, but a series of mod that encompasses the entire military might of the United States during the 19th Century. While I have only worked on the U.S. Army and its look during the early 19th century, I plan to expand to the Manifest Destiny and possibly the Civil War.

-Includes near historical custom textures, stats, and unit cards.

-Starting Army for US added

Thanks to l33tl4m3r who was patient enough to answer all my basic modding questions and those guys in the textures forums for answering some of my questions. For editing pack files, I use Erasmus777's PFM tool, and for atlas files, I used GIMP.

Directions- Download the file from link and extract to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\napoleon total war\data, then go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts, and in the user.script file, type in mod "USmod_V1.pack"; and you should be able to play as the United States
Please remember to only put mod in userscript if you plan to play it, and remove it if you plan to play in campaign

EDIT: As in creating new unit ID's for each unit since I used generic ones or ones already in the units_tables?

EDIT2: Done, should work once I release the official V.1 of this

Looks good I wonder if you could possibly start a War of 1812 mod... I see you said you were new to U.S. Military History... i wouldnt say the uniforms were completely accurate but a great start, and i was waiting for something like this.
Just curious, but are you british? I'll be keeping an eye on this one

Not exactly new to military history, just this time period, and, btw, I tried to base the uniforms as best as I could to uniforms used by the Americans during the War of 1812

And... NO, not British, sorry But I sure would like to be jk, if I don't offend

Problem is hats though, it's hard to find a current hat model that resembles anything close to a kepi

I wonder if the ETW battle builder made by the Lordz would work on NTW, then you could build New Orleans, Washington, Bladesnburg an other battles.

EDIT: For those viewing: updated 8/5/10. Am currently working on how to edit historical battle scripts to script famous battles of the War of 1812 using standard NTW battle maps. Don't expect it for a while though
