Define "we" mister "Order of War"
Hmm, to define we, I mean anyone that would be intrested in making a project like this, and the mod is called Napoleon Order of War, Order of War is a WWII RTS game made by SquareEnix.

And for the record old bean, I would not be intrested in doing a 1812 War mod. I mean the community modders in general, not me or my team!

I've heard that there was a small American raid on a coastal town in Scotland during the War of 1812, perhaps change the start date to 1812, exstend the game's end date and give America Scotland, as if it was a "What if' scenario if the American force was large enough to take Edinburgh.

Don't know much about editing StartPos, I'll give it a whirl when I have the time, though I'll also be working on a period including the Manifest Destiny, which means the Mexican-American War, and I don't see where either country would 'fit in' in the campaign

    I'll consider it though

So does that mean you'll be making Texan and Mexican factions?

And yes, the US wouldn't really fit in the European GC, but hey, it's Total War! Where Norway can conquer the entire world!

Well, if I do decide to put them in GC, my next problem is where would they go? Of course in a place that would make sense, for example a Norwegian faction would start in... Norway

You could make up a story about the French hiring American mercenaries. Give them a small settlement as their base of operations.

As I already said, make it as if the US captured Scotland instead of the small "scare attack" that actually happened.

Not exactly my first idea when I considered adding the US to the Campaign

And as I already said, I'll think about it, once I figure out how to edit starting regions and dates... will take much more time and reading in the Mod Workshop

BTW, update on V1: added starting armies to custom battle so as to not get that invisible unit screen bug

Husserltw is a good start, but he might be busy. Some people have offered to startpos edit for a NOW submod about the Revolutionary Wars, try there, some of them might be available to set up an American territory somewhere.

Looks great! I was hoping someone would add America and if you could extend it all the way to the civil war... I would worship you! I love ETWs American Civil War mod, but to be updated to NTW would be epic!

The War of 1812 in reverse! US invading Britain, a 'What if' scenario.

It would probably make more sense if it was Ireland. UK controlled Ireland would probably cause a large amount of problems for a full scale invasion of anywhere in Britain.

I guess now that everyone's caught on to the idea of making US invade Britain, I'll get to work on that

Good luck, Amaz... I think its a brilliant idea.

Of course you could always put the yanks in Gibraltar or one of the islands in the Med. About as close as we could get to a 'Shores of Tripoli' kind of thing with the current map. To bad we don't have anything on the N. African shoreline.
