about installing RS...

HI, I'm not sure where this post belongs, so I'll put it over here (don't shoot me )

I want to install this mod, but I already have EB 1.2 installed, and it seems I can't install RTW a second time...
can anyone give me advice on what to do, so I can have both mods? thanks in advance!

I have both rs and eb 1.2 installed , only side effect is that some of my forest on the campaign map or pinky/purpley but i dont care tbh so its all good. Could break your game then again like mine might not. I'm using both rs and eb on Alex exe btw.

oh, I see...
i think EB is on R:TW Gold, so i couls install RS on alex? would that work?

If you still own all the installation CDs for RTW I would suggest reinstalling it all. Install RTW from scratch, patch it to 1.5 and then make a copy of the entire folder and paste it in with a different name, for example here is how mine looked d/games/RS, d/games/SpartaTW, d/games/SPQR. You get the idea. The thing is that when you install expansions like BI or Alex they will only install to your original RTW folder so you only copy it when you have installed the expansion. Let me clarify. Say you want to install 3 different mods for RTW, an EB, RS and SPQR for example. Now just for the sake of this explanation each of these requires a different expansion so SPQR runs only on RTW1.5patch, EB only on BI expansion, RS only on Alexander expansion so what you do is.

Step 3a and 3b are not mandatory! I recommend to have one more copy of clean RTW just encase you will want to install more mods in the future.

1. Install a clean RTW
2. patch it to 1.5(may require a 1.3patch first)
3. Make a folder in your games directory with the name of your new mod e.g. SPQR D/Games/SPQR
3a. Create D/Games/RTWOriginal
3b. Copy and paste the contents of your RTW directory into your newly created RTWOriginal folder
4. Copy and paste the contents of your RTW directory into your newly created SPQR folder
5. Click Install the SPQR mod and point it to your new folder.
Woalla Bob is your uncle!
6. Now install BI, it will automatically install into your original RTW folder.(nothing will happen to your SPQR folder)
7. Create a new folder called EB D/Games/EB
8. Copy and paste the contents of your RTW directory into your newly created EB folder which now has BI expansion in it(may require a 1.6patch)
9. Click Install EB mod and point it to your new folder.
Pat yourself on the back and say "Well Done".
10. Install Alexander expansion, again it will automatically install into your original RTW folder.(nothing will happen to your SPQR or EB folders)
11. Create a new folder called Roma Surrectum D/Games/Roma Surrectum
12. Copy and paste the contents of your RTW directory into your newly created Roma Surrectum folder which now has BI and Alexander expansion in it.
13. Click Install RS mod and point it to your new folder.
If you are of appropriate age have a beer, appreciate your work. If you are not drink some water or something!


Anyway thats it.

Just wondering would installing 1 turn recruitment break a save with 0 turn recruitment?
