Now why don't you listen to your own advice and pack your bags and just leave.

You really feel strongly about this, don't you?

If Clegg had got his arse in gear by now, your man would already be in Number 10. Blame Clegg for footling around being indecisive.

It would be a catastrophe for the Labour party to remain in party right now, just like it was for Major in '92. Mark my words, Brown will be back in Queensferry in 48 hours.

Clegg isnt being indecisive he is drawing this out until he can get some firm promises from the conservatives who are most likely to form the next government.

Nice video Freddie, funny how opinions change when the positions are reversed.

Lib Dems didn't do that badly. 23% of the votes. Of course thanks to FPTP that translates to just 8% of the seats. On the other hand Labour have 29% of the votes and 38% of the seats, and Conservatives 36% of the votes and 45% of the seats.

Sure, they have lost seats, but the number of votes hasn't decreased.

    Oh please!

This sort of story really irritates me. It's the Sun/Mail being vitriolic for NO reason. The situation is clear and has been explained dozens of times on TV. If you decide to read trash like the Sun/Mail then that's your look out.

I am of the opinion that a free press is essential in a democracy but when you read the trash we get now, you have to wonder.

Once Cameron gets his act sorted out he'll be PM. Brown has been a tenacious leader (I'm being generous) and survived more coups than Berllusconi.

    Geeze...

If you don't like what Brown is doing, then push for a reform of the system. Oh, the Tories daren't do that... Hypocrites.

Of course politicians change their tune. What's the surprise in that?

Nice to see our god in Colchester has awoken! True I blatantly and shamefully plagiarised the today's Sun but you have to admit it's one of the more comical/witty headlines of recent times but it you want to paint me with a brush call me a FT reading yuppie who has no shame! Yesterday I sold my MAXI ISA on the hope that the FTSE takes a tumble allowing me to buy up cheap stock market linked investment units, if this uncertainty countries and the FTSE falls to 4000 points and I buy, the stock market will hopefully bounce back to over 5000 by the end of the year and I make 25%!

And what is it Colchester? Apart form Basildon and Harlow Essex is dire hard Tory land, what do they put in the water that makes you Colchester folk vote for the Libs? BTW Chelmsford > Colchester.

I'd be more worried if a politician NEVER changes their tune? Bit like the Mail - vacuous.

Haha the Mail changes it tune like everyone else, they accused Clegg of being a Nazi sympathiser because he said we shouldn't be too obsessed with winning WW2.... yes the same paper which supported Hitler and the Black Shirts of Mosley.

I don't really see the issue with Brown here. Once the Tories and Lib Dems have come to an agreement - as seems likely - he'll be out. I don't see what alternative there is other than for the old government to stay until a new one can be formed.

Because he is an easy target. When you read the Sun and/or Mail - rubbish in = rubbish out.

The circumstaces change, Major was the ruler of the underworld along with our Maggie, Brown was just trying to get them out and now ( the circumstances have changed) hes just trying to keep david (who has the potential to be Darth Thatcher part 2) out of office.

Squatter at 10 Downing Street... it is the cool thing to casually dismiss the fact of democratic institutions and lawfully legitimate rule when it suits oneself?

Welcome to the world of Rupert Murdoch. You guys get it with FOX too, although admittedly your press is not quite as blatantly partisan as ours. In this country, people don't buy papers for news, they buy them to reinforce their political beliefs.

Can't believe you've said something which I agree with!

If you were famous, this would be on wikiquote, or something.
