    I thought this would be nice for a fantasy or medieval mod for RTW.....
    I was also gonna add some fur to their shoulder pads. Any suggestions?

    I dont really know what to suggest, but that is a badass unit. Are you goning to release it seperately or with a mod?

    If anyone wants it for their mod then I'll gladly give it to them as long as they credit me.
    Right now I'm just kind of freelancing my own individual models (see http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=35485)

    fur on the shoulders would look great

    I also think they should be riding Cataphracts

    Neck protection is needed. A knight in full armor wouldn't reveal his neck like so.

    Use a kite shield. And the mouth is a bit funny...

    Here are some pics of the Crusaders I've done...... BTW is there a crusade mod for RTW?
    This is very different style than I'm used too. I tried to make them as realistic as possible and took a minimalist approach. I was going to give them flags to hold but that would be too many, probably would look wierd.
    I wanted it to look like "kingdom of heaven" the movie BUT I've only seen the previews and not the actual film. :sweatingb
    I made an entirely new chainmail texture, shield model, shield texture, and I also added a sword holder/belt.....
    what do you guys think?

    small update.... I sharpened the textures and mip maps on the crusader, took away the gloss on his chainmail, and added some chainmail to the front of his neck

    crap... dont know which i like better, paladins or crusaders.... the neck guard makes them look more medieval, so u should add that to the paladins too. hope we will be able to download them soon!

    hey thanks! I appreciate all the comments!
    If I have time I plan to make a mini Crusade mod just for custom battles. It will include units like the templar knights and the hospitaler knights, and some fantasy units.
    Saladin, thanks for the pics! they look really useful. Any chance of having some pics of Arab units?

    Umm, one suggestion; make the shield more flattish and make the corners more roundish.
