NTW Update Problem

Aww, this truly sucks eggs....!! I am from Namibia where our internet is slow at best, as I tried to play Nappi today, I was online and NTW stated updating, although I have set the download option to "do not automatically update", it still did. It is telling me that the download is 8gig in size.. What the hell? I have 2gig I can use per month, that means I can either wait 4 months, collecting mbs/gigs, or pay $ 300.00 for extra gigs, which would obviously make this THE most expensive game I have ever bought.
I cannot see any obvious way to make the game use the previous setting, other than reinstalling it. Is there anybody that knows more??

i think the steam update changed the auto-DL settings. other gamers have said the same. Sorry to hear about that though!
