    Default Roleplaying arthur Pendragon

I know, historians don't know wether Arthur existed or on which characters he is based, and I don't want to start another discussion about the issue, but which character of which faction in which age is best to roleplay arthur? Romano British or Britones? Is it Rhiotamus or the Romano-British Artorius in the 463 campaign? Or someone else?

I tried to stay as historical as possible with this but most are in there. Riothamus and Ambrosious is Representative of the Pro Romano-British faction on the southern middle eastern Part of the island and the Romano British is represented by Cunedda, Vortigern, Vortimer and an Arthur(but under 16 thus at the whim of the AI traits). Leaders and characters vary from the 434AD campaign to the 463AD campaign as they historically did.

In BRG IV I have worked on this more and have made an Arthur 'Artorius' as a hidden Romano British general along with his father Ennion Girt(Uther) fighting in the north of Britain.
Hidden generals fight for their faction but are like a separate royal family. They may become faction leaders if the current one dies with an under age heir.

In barbarians II, there is a whole hour about the invasions of britan. In fact, It talks about the historical basis around arthur, but I belive it states he was a prince and he was killed in battle...

If there is one important thing that revolves around a historical Arthur, its the Gael high king title, Ard Ri. The Ard Ri was a title for the high king in Hibernia, or it was in theory. In Britain as the Irish and Scotti became increasingly more of a presence so did this title. Possibly through inter marriage between the two Peoples especially after the Romans left, the Ard Ri became a high king of some meaning in Britain(in my opinion). Interestingly the Ard Ri was pronounced as Arth Ru(or King Arth) by the Britains and then eventually becoming Arthur...King Arthur. The Ard Ri tradition was for a King to become the Ard Ri he must draw the sword from the stone. ''High Kings were traditionally installed on the Hill of Tara. The Lia Fáil(the stone) supposedly shouted the rightful king's name when he placed his foot on it.'' The sword most likely laid atop the stone. There is quite the historical parallel universe between these two peoples that is joined by the Ard Ri. Even the British historical title, Riothamus, pronunced Ri-athur-mus(most Kingly) seems to have been influenced in regards to this.
