Corrupted saves

I almost finished campaign for Prussia (year 1788) and suddenly all saves refuse to work and drop game to desktop. Is there any possible way to restore game?

No. If all your saves are corrupted, you are starting over.

Hell, and why they became corrupted in the first place?

Many things can corrupt a save. How long are playing at one setting? Windows memory allocation and ram to discot ram priorities, graphics memory being shared with the cpu, file degradation over time, and others I can't think of now that have been around since the pc was invented.

i have the same problem. at first no problems, then all of a sudden no savegame works anymore.
any ideas?

all of them? Or is that when you hit a certain year the game won't work? Or is it just a long load time?

Twice all my saves seemed corrupted all of a sudden. Now , if one savegame gets corrupted , I can understand it . But if all of them go corrupt , somthing else must be going on.

So I started looking for causes . One thing I noticed was that my C: drive (with my windows on, and on which Empire saves its games) only had 200mb left (saved games files get larger when you proceed in the game) , so I deleted some stuff until I had 2 gigs free . I also reinstalled the mod I was using , thinking perhaps some of the scripts got buggy. After that my saved games worked again.

Not sure if I just got lucky , but I guess it can't hurt to share this with you all.

it's a bit weird.
sometimes no savegames of one campaign are loading, but other would. i get crashes, when i try to unite several damaged units. i sometimes get crashes when taking cities (only in poland until now). yesterday i had a game, and when i was in turn 27 and finished my turn, it crashed when spain had it's turn. having saved just before, i tried to alter my last turn, so spain would do something different. after toying around (ca. 10 different ways) with how to alter spains turn the game was finally able to proceed with spains turn, but then crashed when the next nation had it's turn. but well, thats a whole other problem.
it seems my savegames are crashing on loading only when the campaign has advanced to over 20 turns. it has become very unnerving.
i have over 80gb free memory on my harddrive, that should suffice.

any help is very much appreciated

try to verify the integrity of the game with steam

reinstall the game if need be, but be warned that all the tw series had this. and this happens, tell this to my rti 4th chapter when I was invading europe in 7 different fronts (fronts not armies heheh) I just couldn't go on with the campaign
