Default Quick question on descr_mercenary file

I did some minor revisions of the starting availablity dates of a few merc units (for example, making Serbian units available in 1186...when Serbia was first granted independence from the Byzantine Empire). It works ok, but only in new games, not in my current campaign.

What do I have to make the changes appear in my present game?

I guess those changes just aren't save game compatible.

Yep changes to the merc file isn't savegame compatible. Pretty much nothing you change in the campaign folders will show up in current campaigns. The game uses those files to build the world when you start a new game, and then those files get incorporated into your saved game. Which is why changes dont show up in current campaigns.
