Default De-sync in MPC Battle: Game Exit

I've just been playing an MPC where I got a message to the effect stated in title, at which point the game crashed (to menu). It happened around turn 20, and I heard de-sync happens in MPC, so just re-started but got the same message and crash at the same point. We auto-resolved to get past it and things otherwise seem fine, but we haven't come to another battle yet.

Does anyone know what has caused this and how to fix it?

I need some technical help. Why has this been moved to the 'mead hall'?

Hey buddy, you have to go to the mead hall if you want technical assistance! No exceptions!

What do you think they're running here anyway, some kind of free internet forum or something?

You need to go back to the latest savefile, TAKE THAT FILE AND SEND IT TO YOUR BUDDY via email, he puts it in the correct folder, possibly overwriting the old, corrupt save. After this reload (re-host) the game, it loads the identical savefile on both sides and you should be good to go.

Give the savegame of the host to the client, all should be well. This works for me and my buddy every time. (The savegame is in C:\ Users\ "Yourname" \appdata (hidden folder)\ Roaming\ Creative Assembly\ Save_games_multiplayer

Then select by time and give your buddy the last savegame, this also solves problems with forced autoresolving and stuff. If this does not work, feel free to ask.

That wasnt to hard was it hemorrhoid?

Ah, thanks. I was under the impression the client loaded from the host's file when joining their game for some reason. Too simple, I suppose.

Often times when you get that messege, it's because me or my brother were losing, and we didn't want to lose points.

Did it solve your problem? In ETW it would only work if we used the same texture settings and such.

    You misinterpreted me.

Having you graphical settings differ in the MPC beta for ETW caused our games to crash waaaaay more often than if we matched the settings on our computer. It is not a specific texture.

    Hi

Without doubt the most serious bug for the MPC is the recurring desync bug that crashes the game.
For me and my friend the "solution" to send the host save game file does not work.
All we can do is try to autoresolve and hope that we do not get the error again or we go back one turn and also hope for the best.
This makes the MPC almost unplayable.

We have found that the error mostly occurs when town mobs are involved (or variations thereof)

I have also noticed that every time this error happens my game settings change to default.
So for instance my music is suddenly turned on (I play with it off)
And my graphics settings are also reset.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do?

    @fatherdagon

Its nasty to hear that some of the old empire bugs are still present. I would like to know some more information before starting to guess at other causes. First things to do are:
Checking integrity of your games files (and your buddy's) by going to games library-> right click napoleon so you get a small drop down menu-> click properties -> click local files-> click defragment game files.

Do this on both computers to ensure no desyncs occur due to strange causes. Also ensure that you have the same mods. The games should be an exact copy of eachother on both computers.

-> Sound! Was a major issue for me, I had an asus xonar d2/pm.

Could you post the system specs for both computers and the operating systems.

I don't really think that will help the problem lkarash, but at this point he might as well try because it can't make things worse... I hope.
