Bit of feedback for you, I'm playing free peoples of eriador on H/H(I know its supposed to be played on VH/VH but I mustnt be as smart as you because I get steam rolled when I do^^').
I'm on turn 81 and so far no CTD(touch wood). It has been really fun fending off wolves with the Rangers of the North and looking after all those innocently ignorant hobbits and farmers.
The new buildings make sense and add so much more flavour and the mercenaries really gives the idea that there are refugees coming up north fleeing turbulence(or looking for opportunity;D).
The battles are really dynamic, not sure if you've changed much from vanilla?(rebels dont just stand there they attack your unguarded villages!:B).
The creatures are EPIC and enhance the fantasy aspect(which I personally LOVE), the troll shaws are not a desolate waste anymore;P(which was a scary but pleasant surprise).
Ive been keeping an eye on my neighbors and they all seem to be growing at the level I like without toggle_fow I'm not sure how its looking internationally^^' But I do keep an eye on the military levels and they seem to be even between mordor, harad and gondor(because as the savior of middle earth I like to be the one to turn the tide of war against the dark lord just when its at its darkest).
My only gripe would be that the Creations of Eru randomly appeared in longbottom and attacked me>< I wouldnt mind as the hobbits often heard stories that the trees could talk(I like to think that this is were the lost ent wives went). So if I could make peace with them it would be grand, but they wouldnt accept anything less than totally annilating me
I luckily assassinated the faction leader and heir and destroyed them. I was wondering though do they reappear?
Ive been kind of role playing it as an alternative third age, I like the idea that Gandalf warns Aragorn after the white council that the dark things are afoot that Saruman convets the one ring, the shadow in the east is growing and Sauron is rising again. After that Aragorn accepts his responsibility as next in line to become King and organizes the Dunedain to spread word that the free peoples should unite under one banner. All the while Gandalf meets with the High Elven nobles and Elrond and convinces them not to return to the undieing lands. Aragorn also meets with the dwarven nobles of the blue mountain and proves that he is the true Chieftain of the Dúnedain and that with their help they can bring the fight to the Orcs.....So thats what I think every time I play The Free Peoples, just thought I'd share^^'
Thanks to anyone that could be bothered to read my ramblings^^'
