    Default Campaign pictures

Guys I need some great shots for the modfolder campaigns, representing the faction that is being played, like this one for the boii.

Some close-up of the faction most interesting unit.
The factions that need pictures are :
Averni, Seleucid, Sparta, Parthia, Free Greeks, Sarmatia, Armenia, Cimbrii, Dacia, Gallaeci, Pontus, and Scythia.

    Thanks.

...and they ideally need to be using the up to date environment...

For the Sarmatians I'd suggest one of the ones in their preview.

    p.s. what about Scythia?

I'll have a look at the sarmatian preview, thanks.
I forgot Scythia because dvk has not yet added it, I'll edit the first post, I don't think there are any more missing.

I still have the Scythians to do yet, but am working on it.

    Alternative. Use whichever you prefer.

TBH, I'd rather see a phalanx for the seleucids - and also it'd be great from lower down, using the movie_cam

I might try and do a Seleucid phalanx picture. In my mind, I consider the Seleucids to be the greatest of the Successor cavalrymen, whereas the Ptolemaics were more the Thoraktai, mobile soldier and lighter troops pioneers and I think of the Macedonians more for the phalanxes, since that's where the formation orginated.

This is the best Phalangite picture I could get. Engaging Phalanx vs. Phalanx is really hard to do since the computer usually doesn't want to cooperate and turns all of their soldiers some weird way and it looks goofy in the picture. This one is kind of dramatic though. 'Forward at all costs! Strength and Valor!'

Any chance you could turn your graphics settings up, particularly for the vegetation?

To be honest, I think the best would be that the units are not fighting, just marching, or waiting; like the ones we currently have.
And also, if you could try to have a nice background, that would be really cool.

The pictures should try to represent the might of a faction, like a elite unit parading, and if possible coming from the right.
You can have a look at the others faction campaign if you want some more examples.

If you say so I guess, though I think it's cooler to see units engaging in war, winning battles, carrying the day rather than just organizing for a photoshoot.

I'll keep an eye out for something like you've requested though.

To be honest, it's more a matter of unity than taste, though I like those "photoshooted" soldiers a lot. The 10 or so screenshots we currently have are all on the same model : a close-up of an elite unit from the faction coming from the right, like phalanxes at the ready, or marching cavalry.

Yeah, that's primarily why I'm not giving anyone a hard time about it. Uniformity is probably important so that one faction isn't represented differently from others or appears to have either cooler units or more battle-effective units or what have you.

I already have an idea for Pontus and the Seleucids.

    I forgot to ask,

The Greek Cities are probably my favorite faction, so I'd like to do them too (not that other people should feel like I'm 'reserving' them or anyone else), but they're difficult to do because their custom battle roster isn't very good from a unit choice standpoint. Few of their units reflect actual common Greek Soldiers units. So if I take screenshots it'd have to be during or immediately before a battle in campaign.

My question is what do you want for the Greeks? There are so many different mini-factions, which would you prefer to feature most prominently? I thought about Syracuse or Achaian League since they're arguably the most 'representative' of the whole in terms of unit variety. But at the same time I could just as easily do something for Thrace with those pretty Chosen Pezoi, or even Bithynia.

Here's one of Thracian Psiloi among some graphically enhanced trees and rocks and stuff. They're about to throw javelins at someone, but it's not really combat like my earlier ones. I was just playing a campaign and thought it might be worthy so use it if you want.
