NTW - The props thread

Well most threads int his part of the forum are pretty negative when concerning other players and can even degenerate into (*gasp*) flame wars.

So i think a thread like this is in order. Last nigh was LOTZ of fun after a long time. I usualy play 2 v 2 with my friend Seaweasel and well, to be frank, we though we had gotten pretty god at this game.I even go so far as to enjoy a beer during matches. We are ETW vets so game concepts are no mistery.

Yesterday we got completely ruined by Timox and ElKobold (two losses on Spanish Lake and one draw in Lodi) and yet i had more fun than i had in a long while playing MP. The games were good. I was a bit impatient and attacked too soon, which works fine againts new to intermediate players (you bury them in micro with several attacks, then charge with cav when option presents itself). Well against good playesr you just get ruined. Why? Well they can micro, they dont panic, and they see you attacks and suicide cav for what it is.

Anyway, the games were so fun. Chat banter going back and forth, no trashtalking, no insults. Even some WH40K quotes sprinkled in for good measure. It was such a difference from the usual insulting, childish crowd!

The best thing? Last game, ElKobold, Seaweasel and me, were in a 3 v 3 against 3 clanners of the same clan on Prussian hills. I had a Ottoman melee build, Kobold had russian cossacky fun, and Weasel i think had teh UK. Now we waited for these clanners for a long time. They formed a team and were used to playing together.

No gl hf. Nothin.

So we go forward. Kobold engages his guy i charge my brave janisaries at my guy, and Weasel does his thing.

Kobold beats his guy, he ragequits, Janisaries start raping my guy he quits, then Weasels guy quits to.

5 minutes into the game.

Haha, that battle must have left quite an impression, since ElKobold mentioned it already

My props go to Gentleman Bliss who invited me to several drop-in battles lately which I love.
That siege wasn't too satisfying, but I didn't know either that you can't control a reinforcing army of an allied faction, so not your fault - and we learned something .

Kudos to Strumf and Seaweasel - these guys show great sports and a pleasure to play both with and against.

Of other people I played with recently I would like to mention Fortune.rf, Timox and NorgeTroll.

mele noob spam army i call that, like i call noobicorn, i really dont understand why they put mele inf at this price, creative assembly didnt see in empire that indians mele troop cheap and good stats ruin the game, and they still make the mistake in napoleon. mele unit can exist but have to be expansive so u couldnt play lot of them and upgrade it a lot(so u can improve their stats a lot). the history point for explain it, i dont care, they have to concider aswell it s a game mostly for online batle and get equal units( like in empire). and rage quit what it mean for u? raging and quit or only quit cause u dont want waste ur time on a batle losin by spamming and noobish technik.... u talk about flame etc... but what it means say "i had fun game against 3 clan menbers with 2 guys i didnt know well, in camping and spamming mele, and the clan rage quit when they had lose..... isnt it a thing for say some clan menber are not good or fair.... some time its better to quite without say nothing, some time one dropp and other pissed off by that quit, lot of possibility....

lol. this is sooo out of topic in this thread. If you wished to call us noobs and campers - you could have done it in different thread, at least.

If you so wish, here is the replay of that battle, showing that there was no camping on our side. They decided to quit when one of them lost all artillery and got himself flanked. It was not that kind of situation in a battle where everything is already decided.

u call my friends noob first and show there name, so i just answer u what i think of it, and i play u i know what is ur skill now, u are not better at those u call noobs
so i can insist and say u are aswell a noob if u think they are ..........
ur "friend" dont say the name and the clan which is better as u who post a screen with name.........

Good sir, but I am a n00b. That i will not deny, as there are plenty of players who are much better at this game than me.

But:

I never camp.
I never spam (neither unicorns, nor anything else)
I never quit the game before it's finished.

Although I have never played you ElKobold, if all of these things you say are true, then you deserve to be given props here as well

I'd like to big up Lord Nova, Leoben and Slaists, all of whom I've been enjoying fantastic MPCs with. These are confident players with high regard for the spirit of the game who have given me the best experience of a TW game yet. Unfortunately playing SP campaigns after MPC with competent, principled human opponents just doesn't cut it any more.

I'd like to present the "Dried Up Turd" award to all you that keep dumping the game just as my lancers are about you ride over your routing armies! It just happened again a few minutes ago! This is for all you turds out there. Have a nice day.

Also, sorry for ruining your "grassy fatlands of bore(doom)" thread ElKobold. It was a good thread, unfortunately a few of us got a little carried away "spamming" on it. I was a bit surprised to see them close it without a "no spam allowed" warning, but as we all know, the admins are Gods!!!!!

It was 1 Spanish Lakeside (and that wasn't surprising, you played the same tactic against me with some random guy ) and 2 games on Lodi, the first one I got proper wrecked.
So props to you and weasel. Also a shout out to El Kobold, Fast and republican and to Aggony, WARKINGS and SpR clans - "you rock!!!" (c)
