Re: Help... Empire's not running
Delete your scripts folder and verify your game cache via Steam.
Post your dxdiag.

Re: Help... Empire's not running
Yeah I have been playing for months as recent as last night, today ... it will not play either it comes to the main menu when I try to load my last save it says windows discovered problem with ETW and will close the program.
Not sure where to find the script folder you mention?
Did find 4 of these notes :
empire_1332_crash_2010_5_5T14_28_40C0.mdmp
empire_1332_crash_2010_5_5T14_30_14C0.mdmp
empire_1332_crash_2010_5_5T14_39_52C0.mdmp
empire_1332_crash_2010_5_5T14_41_7C0.mdmp
they are MDMP files??? and show the date and time a few minutes ago they were created???
I did verify the game on Steam and it says it is OK.

Re: Help... Empire's not running
Yes ... also some of the saved campaigns seem to work ... but the auto-save and both Prussian saves ( I had 2) seem to have a problem. Please tell me I can fix this I was so far into this campaign ... I rarely go this far!

Re: Help... Empire's not running
Corrupted saves are a way of life with Total War games. If you have an older one that works, you start, again, from there. If not, you start a new campaign.
Many save every turn, before battles, before any big event, etc. so hopefully you don't lose the full campaign.

no problem dutch. i got it running, only need to reinstall it.
and i recommend you do the same if you have experience with all of that technical stuff (i dont) then you can put your saved files into another folder, reinstall ETW and then put the folders back - - - i think thats how it works
