    yea but its just the old members of old aristocratic families pretending to be relevant and putting medals on each other

    They're not a military order any more. Just an order of monks (with many women) that support some hospitals and have a nice embelm. Check their site.

    The knights Hospitallers although, are a military order still IIRC.
    alhoon is not a member of the infamous Hoons: a (fictional) nazi-sympathizer KKK clan. Of course, no Hoon would openly admit affiliation to the uninitiated.

    Currently there are four Order of St John, each was formed by the exiled of Knights of Malta.

    I guess he means the official one, still recognised as sovereign entity by dozens of countries.

    They exist as a charity organisation now, up until the Napoleonic Wars though they owned many large properties in eastern Germany and such.

    i did a presentation for a class on them a while back. after they were kicked out of prussia they often served militarily for the HRE, which meant mostly Austria, up until the Napoleonic wars. my source said that the napoleonic wars reduced their numbers to 4 knights. after that they became what they are today i think, just a charity organization (nothing wrong with that of course).
