Favourite All Time Painter

I know this is a question that has been often asked, but thought just to refresh the database. So question is simple. And also try to post your favourite painting by that painter.

Mine is Sir Anthony van Dyck. His oil paintings are just out of this world. Here's one of Charles I of England that I really like, just see how he captures his facial expression, and also how he uses the light with the armour. Truly fascinating and that's why the painting is my new avatar/profile pic.

Bob Ross and Rembrandt.

Probably Monet, though I also really like looking at Pollock stuff.

Caravaggio, no doubt. The man was a genius.

Very good choices both but I really can't name the best for myself, I like variety.

Top artist on my list also. The epitome of the first half of the 17th century, at least for portraits. No wonder there was a Van Dyck revival in the 18th century (mainly in England).

Also: Watteau, Botticelli, Frans Hals, Adriaen Brouwer, Fragonard and Arcimboldo, to mention a few.

Paintings never really fascinated me... I like Goya I suppose.
