Coolest Casualty ever

One of My Royal Escoises was killed by a flying enemy soldier thrown into the air when my calvary charged into the rear of and enemy regiment that was at very close range to the Scots it was EPIC. I watched it all and that was the only possible explanation it was a Melee only enemy formation and no shooting formations were left the guy flew over the whole regiment hit a guy in the back rank and killed him instantly.

A lone Cannon Ball Wipes out the Entire Rear Line of Infantry.

Or.... entire Guard Regiment Wiped out in a single all gun salvo by three Howitzer batteries, every man in the 120 regiment fell dead because of a lucky barrage from the Howitzers finally not missing most every shot, it was quite funny as they all fell dead at nearly the exact same time.

Fleet Admiral accidently Falls from the Rigging to the Deck and dies?

Yes it is no fun losing an admiral because he decides he wants a better view of the action ... note to all admirals this is not a movie ... and staff officers did not make it a habit to crawl into the rigging ESPECIALLY during a battle!!!

Yes, my admirals have this un-nerving habit, to the extent that I stopped recruiting admirals anymore.

Keep the Admiral's Flag ship safe from enemy fire and normally you do not have to worry about losing your admiral.

Coolest casualty I saw was when I was fighting a small force and trying to hit the general's body guard unit with artillery to weaken or kill him before moving my infantry in. I whittled his unit down to about 5 men, and he took cover beside a farmhouse that had already taken several artillery hits. Just when I was about to move in my infantry, an errant cannonball hits the house, collapsing it on the general and kills him.

Pirate Blob attacking my colony with great numbers, defeated by light infantry boobie traps half their army broke from the shock and one by one the rest of the army broke as the main body in the center was gone, it was how battles should be won, not by killing every soldier in the army, but cuasing mass panic and having the enemy army run for their lives after organization dies.

Ship of mine(French) fights valiantly...knocking the masts off one ship(English)...capturing two others...but when its time to board the last ship(no masts), a fire breaks out on the ship and kills the captain. Then it gives up the fight. Probably the sweetest almost victory I have ever had, as I suck at naval fighting(and I used to be in the Navy - LOL)...

The first round of the battle is shot and flies and kills the enemy general. And nobody else. And the cannon was on fire at will. And this is darthmod, so the enemy general was still in his initial position (i love long range artillery!)

The coolest casualty I had was when a regiment of horse charged at my line infantry.

All of them where shot down exept for one, and that one charged right at the captain of the regiment and killed him in the charge, causing him to fly way over the regiment and land somewhere in the grass. The lone rider was killed quickly and I had no other casualties at all in that regiment, just the captain. I gues he wanted to make the single kill he could make count.

Recently the last of the enemies in a siege died rather comical, he fell off the wall.

Well, I lost an admiral's 3rd rate today after I had the battle won. It was just my 3rd rate battling a 4th rate, I started the battle with a 6th rate as well but it got sunk. I had taken off the mainmast with chain shot and the enemy ship was routing; I chose not to end the battle because I wanted to capture the ship to make up for the loss of my 6th rate. As my ship was pulling up beside the 4th rate to unleash a broadside of grapeshot and begin boarding, it sank! Not sure why, as it still had one side undamaged and the other side with less than half damage. So I won the battle technically, but lost both my ships and that dirty Spanish 4th rate survived.

Guess I should just stick to dry land...

When a ship takes significant damage and is taking on a water an icon will appear on the UI card down the bottom. Generally it's best to either stop the ship completely or to take it very very slowly.

My trade ship disembarks from a trade node running from a pirate attack. Its a futile battle, I'm outnumbered in guns by the menacing Pirate Galleon! One cannonball fly's into the hull of the galleon and detonates it. xD

I lost a second rate ship today, while passing too close to a bomb ketch that exploded right on top of it, the only casualty in the whole battle, but in consolation, the enemy lost a full stack for that single ship
